An integral part of the music production process for professional musicians involves ‘A/B referencing’ - involving comparison between the current track and a target track for the purpose of achieving matching dynamics, levels, clarity and more.
Equo is an app concept that facilitates this process, enabling the user to A/B reference in different studios and different speaker systems with nothing but their phone. It enables the user to switch between a selection of tracks in real-time.
The visual language takes reference from equaliser displays and the idea of layered sound. I came up with the main screens for the interface, the user flow and marketing and background material. I integrated the logo into the marketing headlines for a distinguishable, striking campaign.
